About me
I started my career at the AKH in 1993, and after a 2-year stay at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, I returned to the University Clinic in Vienna and was appointed senior physician there in 2008. Since 2010 I have been leading the aneurysm program at the AKH, and since 2015 also rhythm surgery. I offer the full range of cardiac surgery interventions, if possible these are also performed through a small incision. Patients after unsuccessful ablation for atrial fibrillation benefit particularly from my excellent results. I am the author of over 200 publications in internationally renowned journals. In the relationship with my patients, empathy, thoroughness and reliability are particularly important to me. I am also available for a second opinion at any time.
